Permaculture is rooted in community. Each of our designs takes on a collaborative approach with our clients - from the design charrette to creating a long-lasting relationship, our shared projects become a form of community- connection.

With the understanding that architecture and planning should work in tandem to preserve the human scale and sense of well-being, we’ve teamed up with the innovative firm Communitecture that not only focuses on architecture but natural building, urban planning and permaculture.

While always in dialogue with the geographic location, cultural context, and heritage, this results in a particular aesthetic/intention that is unique and appropriate to each client and design.

We have extensive experience designing diverse ecosystems - urban, civic and rural . We’re nimble, flexible and adapt quickly without strict specialization.

We have been deeply nourished and influenced by the bioregional offerings of the PNW. The designs have become beloved resources and symbols for the communities that our work has produced and we’re able to design beyond our hemisphere.
